Husk Distillers
Australian Agricole Rum

Husk Distillers was born of a dream of creating the first Australian Agricole rum. Starting in 2012 in the beautiful and fertile sugar cane region of the Tweed Valley, we experimented with planting different cane varieties and various methods of harvest. Starting out with a more rudimentary machete-and-man-power method, we’ve now refined to a (mostly) machine harvest. We use 100% sugar cane grown on our family farm, making Husk a single estate distillery. During the harvest season of July-November, we’re cutting, crushing and fermenting our cane through into the warmer months. Our rums are column or pot distilled in our Forsyth still and reduced slowly with rainwater harvested from the distillery roof. We take pride in showcasing the terroir of our region in every bottle. All our rums are designed to be sipped neat, or to be mixed into - and not get lost in - any cocktail.

PURE CANE

How all of our Agricole rum starts. Sweet on the nose and grassy and full-bodied on the palate, our unaged agricole is the best way for those new to agricole to understand the essence of our rums. Pure Cane is the perfect summer cocktail base. For those who prefer a Caribbean-strength Agricole, we created Pure Cane 50, a 50% ABV agricole for the strong of heart.

SPICED BAM BAM

Bam Bam is our cult Spiced agricole rum. Husk-grown sugar cane rum aged for three-four years on virgin American oak, then infused for three months with whole botanicals. Native Australian players present in Bam Bam include roasted wattle seed and native ginger, a mildly spicy ginger root found in the Northern Rivers. Next come golden berries, vanilla, orange and cinnamon, with a balancing sprinkle of sea salt.

700ml, 40% ABV
Paramount, ALM or direct.
$55.90 ex.GST direct.
