Pure Cane New Make is the first product release from the North Coast Bar Series of fresh, young agricole rums and cane spirits designed to be mixed in simple, refreshing ways that highlight the flavour and style of Northern NSW.
Just in time for the fast approaching summer season, Pure Cane is perfect for mixing up our interpretation of the Caipirinhas (Kai-Pee-Reen-Yas) or Ti Punch (TEE punch) as well as many simple, refreshing, back-to-basics cocktails like mojitos and daquiris, or with ginger beer and a squeeze of lime for a light & stormy.
Husk Distillers teamed up with Mauricio Gamba, head barman at Paper Daisy, Halcyon House, Cabarita Beach to develop our signiature Cabarita Caipirinha cocktail.
Mauricio hails from Brazil where the national cocktail is the Caipirinha. Adding some flair to his North Coast interpretation, Mauricio uses Pure Cane, native honey and grilled sugar cane from the Husk Plantation to create the Cabarita Caipirinha.
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill halfway with ice. Shake hard for 30 seconds and pour over ice into an old fashioned glass. Garnish with grilled sugar cane stick.
